Wells Adams is back to being the bartender on Bachelor in Paradise, and he spilled the beans on which contestant spent the most time at the bar. Viewers might remember Wells from his time on The Bachelorette when he vied for Jojo Fletcher’s heart in 2016. He made it halfway through the competition but was sent home after Jojo felt no chemistry with him during their first and only one-on-one date.
After appearing on The Bachelorette, Wells Adams competed on BIP but was unattached to anyone. He returned to Bachelor in Paradise the following year as a bartender and even had a budding romance with contestant Danielle Maltby. However, things did not work for the pair and they chose to remain friends. A year after his short romance with Danielle, he began dating actress Sarah Hyland, who he is now engaged to. They’re currently planning their wedding for the third time.
During a recent interview with Us Weekly, the 37-year-old spoke about how busy he was behind the bar on Bachelor in Paradise season 7 as he provided tips and drinks to the contestants. “A lot of people needed a lot of advice. It’s been a couple of years since we’ve done Paradise, I think people are a little out of sync of the show. And a lot of people have been out of sync of dating people,” Wells explained while on the set of a commercial for BIP season 7. “I had to do a lot of hard conversations with people, but I would say that generally how it works is the people who I gravitate to, just in terms of friendship-wise (…) it’s comfortable for them, and it’s comfortable for me.”
During Bachelor in Paradise season 6, Wells Adams grew closer to good friend Derek Peth, who recently proposed to Saffron Vadher. This season, however, Wells has gotten close to Joe Amabile. “Joe and I are very, very close,” he said. “We were close long before we did this show. (…) Joe and I have a lot of conversations that we hope make air because it comes across as he’s this goofy, Chicago guy, (…) but he actually does have a really sweet spot.” Besides the array of different former Bachelor and Bachelorette contestants from the past year and a half, Wells is excited for viewers to meet the celebrity hosts joining him in Mexico. The season will be kicking off with David Spade and will later include Lance Bass, Lil Jon, and Tituss Burgess as co-hosts.
With the premiere of BIP now upon us, viewers will soon find out who is by the bar with Wells the most often. From the previews that have aired, season 7 is already looking like a cycle to remember. And with the addition of celebrity guests, the new season is definitely a much-watch this summer.
Bachelor In Paradise airs Mondays at 8 pm ET/PT on ABC.
