New Skills have been added as part of the Seige of Paris DLC in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. The game is now on its second massive location expansion with the release of the Seige of Paris. The first being the Wrath of the Druids that released earlier this year. This time around, players will set sail for West Francia to engage with Charles the Fat and his forces.
Players will need to infiltrate the city of Paris to make new friends, and enemies, while breaking down this dangerous empire. With new content, including the game adding Ezio Auditore’s iconic robes, the total level cap has already been increased, allowing players to level up and earn new abilities.
As players earn experience in Valhalla, they will gather Skill Points that can be used in a variety of different branches. It’s broken down from melee, ranged, and stealth. The more Skill Points invested, the stronger their character will become. With the Wrath of the Druids releasing, the level cap was brought up to 427 when compared to the base game’s 410. Now, the Seige of Paris brings this number up to 466, introducing new abilities and skills for players to invest their Skill Points into. This will likely increase throughout Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s 2022 roadmap.
There are 6 new skills introduced in this Assassin’s Creed Valhalla DLC, two for each of the branches available.
Light Fingers: This is through the Raven skill tree, and will automatically loot items when the player is close enough to them.
Thrill of War: This is through the Raven skill tree, and will fill up the adrenaline meter by remaining in combat.
Survival Instinct: This is through the Wolf skill tree, and will allow the player to exchange adrenaline for HP when the player has less than 1/3 of their health.
Wolf Warrior: This is through the Wolf skill tree, and will increase the player’s damage the lower their HP is.
Heidrun Slam: This is through the Bear skill tree, and is a new move that will do a flying knee strike. Players can sprint and dash into it.
Idunn’s Heart: This is through the Bear skill tree, and will restore the player’s HP within a few seconds of taking damage.
Players can unlock them all by leveling up and completing missions. If the player’s already maxed out their character from playing the game before, they should have no problem maxing them out again with a few more levels. Before jumping into the DLC, players can play the Sigrblot Festival to set up the DLC. The Seige of Paris still has tons of secrets left to uncover.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is available now on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PC, Google Stadia, and Amazon Luna.
