The second official trailer of House of Gucci shows Lady Gaga taking control of the Gucci family empire. After her starring role in her film debut A Star Is Born, the Oscar-winning singer and actress will portray Italian socialite Patrizia Reggiani, who was convicted of arranging the murder of her ex-husband, Maurizio Gucci, played by Adam Driver. The crime biopic is based on the Sara Gary Forden book The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour, and Greed and will center around the 1995 murder of the Italian head of the fashion house and the subsequent aftermath. Directed by Ridley Scott, the movie will also star Jared Leto, Al Pacino, Jeremy Irons, and Salma Hayek.

The story of the murder of Maurizio Gucci and Reggiani’s trial received massive media coverage due to their power in the fashion industry, and that will no doubt carry on to the movie when it premieres. With an established director like Scott behind the camera and a plethora of Oscar-nominated movie stars, the anticipated movie will likely have a large audience and could very well become an awards contender, especially with the performances. House of Gucci will release on November 24 in theaters, before becoming available to stream on Paramount+.
