Raz can find several pieces of Emotional Baggage in Loboto’s Labyrinth, the first level of Psychonauts 2. Doctor Loboto has been an antagonist in Psychonauts in the past. Picking up directly from where the first game ends, in Psychonauts 2, Raz finally secures his position at his dream job within the Psychonauts spy organization. Doctor Loboto wins a fake tropical vacation and is required to get a signature from his supervisor before he can enjoy it. The entire organization is attempting to find out his true boss through this form signature. Raz is then tasked with tailing Loboto to find out the truth. Suspecting that Raz is tailing him, Doctor Loboto sets up countermeasures to prevent anyone from following him. This brings players into Psychonauts 2‘s first level, Loboto’s Labyrinth.
Throughout the labyrinth, players will come across many collectibles, including Emotional Baggage. Unlike Half-A-Minds, Memory Vaults, and Nuggets of Wisdom, which can be picked up and used right away, Emotional Baggage requires players to locate the baggage Tags before they can unlock the baggage itself. Finding the baggage not only pushes the player closer to 100%, but also levels up Raz’s Cadet rank, unlocking new psychic abilities for his arsenal.
In Loboto’s Labyrinth, there are five different bags and five different tags for players to find. It’s important to mention that players will not be able to collect them all during their first playthrough of this level since they won’t have the proper psychic abilities unlocked at this point in the story. They will need to return to Loboto’s Labyrinth later in the game to gather any they had to miss.
The Duffel Bag Tag: The tag for the Duffel Bag can be found after the cutscene with Coach Oleander telling Raz to open the teeth door. Players should head down the steps to the right to find it hidden behind a desk with a stack of papers on it.
The Duffel Bag: This bag is found on the photocopier in the same room as the first fight of this level.
The Hat Box Tag: Just before helping Sasha fight the giant uvula, players can find the Tag on the right side of the room.
The Hat Box: This bag can be found in the room filled with flammable posters. Raz must burn the portrait of Dr. Loboto using his psychic abilities to find it hidden on the other side.
The Purse Tag: This is one bag that requires players to return on a second playthrough. The Tag is found in the Dental Void area where Milla will teach Raz to use his Levitation ability.
The Purse: Players must use Collective Unconcious to teleport to the Pyrokinesis room. In the office at the end, players will find the Purse on top of a bookshelf in a separate room.
The Steamer Trunk Tag: This is another bag that requires a second run of the level since players will need to have the Mental Connection ability that can only be unlocked in Hollis’ Classroom. The Tag is found within the Dental Void before jumping into the hole. There will be bubbles for players to use Mental Connection on that will bring the player to a dental mirror and the tag.
The Steamer Trunk: To get the Steamer Trunk, Raz must jump into the teeth tunnel and find another Mental Connection chain at the end of it that will lead to the Steamer Trunk.
The Suitcase Tag: This tag can be found near the end of the stage. At the end of the electrical teeth tunnel, it can be found on a floating set of teeth on the left side.
The Suitcase: To access the bag, Raz must return later and Collective Unconscious. Players will find the bag in the office where they first saved Sasha. There will be a poster of a set of teeth for players to burn, and behind it is the Suitcase.
Collecting all five Bags and Tags in Loboto’s Labyrinth will complete the Emotional Baggage set for this level. Players will still need to find every other collectible in the level, including all of its Figments. This is just the beginning of Raz’s adventure, as players will head to the Motherlobe hub area for their first visit right after clearing this level.
Psychonauts 2 is available now on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PC.
