Most seasons of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette end in engagements, but that doesn’t mean the relationships are always built to last. A lot of the time after a season ends the relationship does too, which makes viewers feel like they put all their time and energy into nothing.
Sometimes though, a couple will emerge from a season that fans fall in love with and continue to fall in love with after the show. Fans often follow the couples even after their season is done, hoping to watch as they plan a wedding and move in together, almost like an extension of The Bachelorette season they just watched.
7 Clare & Dale (Season 16)
Clare Crawley famously left her season partway through because she was so drawn to contestant Dale Moss and knew that she wanted to spend the rest of her life with him.
Though their relationship post-show has been rocky, at times, they still are very popular among Bachelor Nation Redditors who are happy that Clare finally found what seems to be true love. Fans are constantly speculating about the status of their relationship, proving that they are still popular among the subreddit. Reddit user cat127 wrote about the lovebirds, “I went from rolling my eyes at them during her season to smiling every time I see them posted here these days.”
6 Ashley & J.P. (Season 7)
Season 7 of The Bachelorette saw Ashley Herbert falling for 34-year-old construction manager, J.P. Rosenbaum. The two later married and had two children together, but announced their plans to divorce last year. The ending of their marriage shocked Bachelor Nation, as many fans adored their relationship and hoped it would work out, long-term. Despite their separation, J.P. and Ashley are still fairly popular on the subreddit and have been praised for the way they have gone about co-parenting and praising one another online.
Reddit user ebwells5 started a thread about their love for the couple, together and apart, writing, “J.P. supporting Ashley opening up her own practice. Love to see them navigating their post-split relationship so maturely – especially for their kids.”
5 JoJo & Jordan (Season 12)
JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rodgers got engaged on her season of The Bachelorette, and then go re-engaged a few years later in real life to symbolize how true their love was. The two are set to wed in 2022, and fans love watching them, years after their season has ended.
JoJo and Jordan have remained popular among Bachelor fans, especially because they consistently post relationship updates on their social media and YouTube account. Reddit user pennyhill wrote about how much they adored the couple: “I read Jordan SO WRONG on The Bachelorette. And I’m so glad I did. It’s so apparent how much he loves her, and how much she loves him. I LOVE THEIR LOVE!!!!”
4 Rachel & Bryan (Season 13)
Rachel Lindsay made history as the first-ever Black Bachelorette, and fans have continued to support her and her relationship ever since her season of the show. She got engaged to 37-year-old chiropractor Bryan Abasolo, and they wed in 2019 in front of all of their family and friends.
Redditors often praise Bryan and Rachel’s relationship on the subreddit, mainly because of the way they publicly love and support one another. Reddit user wow6576 commented on a thread celebrating the couple’s anniversary saying, “Congrats to them! They’ve been through hell with this franchise so it’s nice to see they’re still going strong and thriving.”
3 Desiree & Chris (Season 9)
One of the first 10 Bachelorette‘s, Desiree Hartsock met her husband Chris Siegfried on her season and the pair have been happily in love ever since. They’ve gone on to have two sons, and are on the short-list of Bachelor Nation’s favorite success stories, frequently being voted as fans’ favorites on subreddit polls.
Reddit user PeonyPug praised the couple on a post, sharing their wedding photos: “My first season and my favorite couple! I’m always disappointed when a proper love match is not found/doesn’t continue. So I think these two, being so cute and compatible on my first season, set me up with high expectations.”
2 Tayshia & Zac (Season 16)
Tayshia Adams took over Clare’s season after she left with her fiance Dale, and she went on to become of the best Bachelorettes the franchise had seen to date. Tayshia found love with 36-year-old Zac Clark, and viewers became obsessed with their accepting, genuine, and downright adorable love story.
Zac and Tayshia are the (if not the most) popular winning couple on the subreddit currently, mostly because of the recency of their season, but also because of how beautiful their love is. Reddit user roastedbeet919 started a thread where they shared that they wanted a love like Zac and Tayshia writing, “Tayshia’s very mature take on things is that a relationship is a partnership. What makes her and Zac work is that she has her projects, goals, and ambitions and Zac has his – and they meet to support each other’s growth.”
1 Trista & Ryan (Season 1)
Trista and Ryan met and fell in love on the very first season of The Bachelorette, and have remained together ever since. They were one of the first couples still together from The Bachelorette, and Trista set the precedent for every Bachelorette to come when she picked Ryan.
The Bachelor subreddit continues to admire their relationship nearly 20 years after their season aired. Even though it was almost two decades ago, they remain at the top of viewers’ favorite Bachelorette couples list. On a thread asking fans who their favorite couple was, Reddit user GlimmeringWalrus answered “Trista and Ryan,” adding, “I was so invested in her as a child and her and Ryan seem just as in love and I get the most excited when I see updates on them and see their appearances.”
